During excavation of the Eureka Hotel site an object was discovered in the creek bed. This object turned out to be a buggy. The buggy here symbolises the story of communication and transport – how people and goods were moved throughout the region. There is also a creative component in the students’ stories of how the buggy came to be in the creek and the difficulty of travel in the early days of settlement.
